Canon Pro 10 Wireless Setup: Quick Guide
Without delaying any further, just go through the steps mentioned below. Make sure that you follow each step correctly. Before starting, make sure that your printer is connected to your computer either through USB or LAN for the initial setup. After configuration, you can disconnect the cable and use your printer wirelessly.
First, you need the printer driver software for Canon Pro 10 wireless setup. Thus, you can use the CD that came with the device or download the driver from the Internet. For the second option, open a browser and visit the official website of Canon. Enter your printer’s model and download the latest version of the printer driver software.
Insert the CD or run the downloaded installer for the Printer driver. Thereafter, you will be presented with three options.
- USB Connection
- Wired LAN Connection
- Wireless LAN Connection
Here, choose Wireless LAN connection and click on Next.
Now, make sure that your printer is turned on and connected to the computer. Thereafter, click on Next. After this, the installation wizard will automatically search for any printer that is connected to your computer. Thus, select your printer from the list.
Now, a new window will appear where you have to follow the instructions as displayed. After a while, you should see the option for Cableless Setup. Simply click on it. Next, it will indicate you to turn on the Wi-Fi of your printer. Thus, go to your printer and turn on the Wi-Fi button. You can check its location either from the setup menu or from its user guide.
Subsequently, you have to check whether the light is blinking or not. Thereafter, follow the rest of the instructions to complete the installation process.
Confirm the Network Settings
After that, you have to confirm that the Canon printer is connected to a wireless network. If you want, you can print out the network settings.
For that, ensure that the machine is turned on. Then, load a sheet of A4 paper inside the printer. After that, press and hold the Resume/ Cancel button until the power lamp flashes 6 times. Next, release it.
Now, the network information page will be printed. When it is printed, check that your router’s SSID is being displayed beside the SSID section. This will confirm that the printer has been successfully setup.
By following the steps provided above, you should be able to successfully configure the Canon pro 10 printer for wireless use. If you were unable to set it up on your own, then make sure that you have followed each step carefully.
