How to Setup Wi-Fi on Canon MP495? [Step-by-Step Guide]
Here we are going to present a complete guide that can assist you on how to set up a wireless connection on your Canon pixma MP495 printer.
Before going to connect the printer to the wireless network, confirm that you have completed the configuration of your wireless router and computer. Afterward, check whether the computer is connected with the same network.
To connect the printer with your computer, drivers, and software needs to be stored to the hard disk of the computer. The installation process takes a minimum of 20 minutes to complete. (The time depends on the environment of the system or the number of apps or software installed on it).
Installing Drivers and Software:
Now, you can install the drivers and software by following the steps explained below:
First, turn the computer on. Then, insert the Setup CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive of the computer. The setup process will start by itself.
Note: If the setup process doesn’t start automatically, go to My Computer or Computer. Click twice on the CD-ROM icon. Once the CD-ROM contents open, double-click on the ‘MSETUP4.EXE’ option.
Tap on the ‘Run Msetup4.exe’ from the AutoPlay window. Afterward, tap on the Continue or Yes button from the ‘User Account Control’ pop-up box. If the ‘User Account Control’ pop-up box reappears, click on Continue or Yes button once again.
Tap on the ‘Easy Install’ option from the next page. Now, the software, apps, drivers, and on-screen manuals are started to install.
Note: If you want to choose any particular items to install, click on the ‘Custom Install’ option.
Afterward, tap on the Install button and then choose the ‘Use the printer on network’ option. Tap on the Next button to proceed further.
It will open the ‘Easy-WebPrint Ex’ software that is installed on the computer while installing the supplied software. Click on the Next button to download and install the ‘Easy-WebPrint Ex’ software. Or if you prefer, you can also tap on the Skip button.
Once the ‘Printer Detection’ window opens, tap on the Next button to continue. Afterward, turn the printer On and click on the OK button. It will navigate you to the ‘Set up New Printer’ screen. Click on the Next button.
Note: If the ‘Detected Printers List’ window opens, tap on the ‘Set Up New printer’ option and go to the next step.

If the ‘Extended Survey Program’ window opens, you can click on the Agree button if you want to agree to the Extended Survey Program.
If you click on the ‘Do not agree’ button, the Extended Survey Program will not be installed.
